Lofstedt Breaks Dad's Record In Rout Of Clan

Southern Oregon sophomore Mitchell Lofstedt broke his late father Brent Lofstedt’s single season pin record and helped the Raiders score a 43-3 victory over 10th-ranked Simon Fraser today at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders finish the regular season 15-7 and will wrestle at the NAIA West Qualifier on Feb. 20.

Wrestling Wraps Up Regular Season Saturday

The Southern Oregon wrestling team will wrap up the regular season Saturday as they host Simon Fraser at 1 p.m. at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders enter this weekend ranked sixth in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll. Simon Fraser is ranked 10th.

Southern Oregon comes into Saturday’s dual with a 14-7 record and have already wrapped up their 40th straight winning season.

Wrestling Exhibition Canceled

Southern Oregon head wrestling coach Mike Ritchey announced today that Saturday's exhibition dual with Clackamas Community College has been canceled.

The Raiders will wrap up the regular season Feb. 6 at 1 p.m. when they host Simon Fraser.

SOU Wrestling Lends Hand To City Of Ashland

Members of the Southern Oregon wrestling team took a day off from practice this week to help out the City of Ashland.

The Raiders helped remove the Christmas wreaths from the downtown plaza area, following Ashland's annual Festival of Light during the Holiday season.

Southern Oregon returns to action Saturday when they host Clackamas Community College in an exhibition dual starting at 3 p.m.

Lofstedt Ties School Pin Record At Menlo

Southern Oregon sophomore Mitchell Lofstedt tied his late father Brent's school record for pins a season as he led the fifth-ranked Raiders to a 2-1 record at Sunday's Menlo Duals.

Southern Oregon defeated Menlo 41-6 and then split with a pair of NCAA Division I programs - defeating UC Davis 24-16 and fall to CSU Bakersfield 29-12.

Lofstedt Claims Title At Mile High Championships

Southern Oregon sophomore Mitchell Lofstedt claimed the lone title for the Raiders at today's Mile High Championships at Prescott, Ariz.

Lofstedt used a pin of Great Falls' Brian Borst in the semifinals to reach the 125 pound finals to face Western State College's (Colo.) Kyle O'Brien in the championship match.

Raiders Wrap Up 40th Straight Winning Season

The fifth-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team locked up its 40th-straight winning season today by going 2-1 at the Mile High Duals in Prescott, Ariz.

Southern Oregon (12-6) opened the day with a 24-15 setback to Cal Baptist, then came right back to knock off Simon Fraser 27-14 and finished the off the day with a 29-12 victory over NCAA Division II CSU-Pueblo.

Raiders Fall To Lindenwood In Final Seconds

The fifth-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team came home with a sixth place finish at the NWCA National Dual Meet Championships after falling to Lindenwood in the final seconds of their consolation final dual in Cedar Falls, Iowa.

Southern Oregon (10-5) cruised past Dana 33-9 in the consolation semifinals and then fell to Lindenwood 20-16 in the consolation finals.

Raiders Drop Opener, Bounce Back For Two Straight Wins

The fifth-ranked Southern Oregon wrestling team dropped its opener today at the NWCA National Dual Meet Championships in Cedar Falls, Iowa, but battled back to win two straight duals and advance to tomorrow's consolation semifinals.

The Raiders opened with a 26-12 setack to Lindenwood, but then came back to cruise past Northwestern 30-9 and Grand View 31-6.

Southern Oregon faces Dana a consolation semifinal at 9 a.m. (CST) Sunday morning.

Raiders Set To Defend National Dual Championship

The Southern Oregon wrestling team returns to Cedar Falls, Iowa and the National Dual Meet Championships this weekend - looking to defend last year’s National Championship.

The Raiders enter the 16-team tournament as the No. 5 seed - based on their No. 5 national ranking.

Southern Oregon (7-3) will open against ninth-ranked Lindenwood Saturday at 9 a.m. (CST).
