Southern Oregon takes its annual trip to Evergreen State and Northwest this weekend.
The Raiders (9-6, 1-5) will face a stiff test, facing two of the three teams currently tied for first in the conference.
Evergreen State has rolled out to an 11-4 overall mark and a 4-1 Cascade Conference record. The Geoducks lone setback came to Eastern Oregon in the conference season opener. Evergreen is led by All-American Nate Menefee. Menefee leads the Cascade Conference and ranks second in the Nation at 26.1 points per game.
Northwest sits at 9-6 overall and 4-1 in conference, with their lone setback coming to Evergreen State. Blake Solomon leads the Eagles at 16 points per-game and he leads the conference with three 3-point makes per-game.
Southern Oregon is coming off its first conference victory last week with an 87-76 victory over Corban College. Senior
Jarrad Childs (Paso Robles, Calif./Paso Robles) continues to play at a high level since mid-December. Childs has four straight 20 point games and is averaging 20.2 in the five games he's played.
Ryan Staker (Las Vegas, Nevada/Centennial) is averaging 13 points, while
Justonn Smith (Redwood City, Calif./Woodside) and
Humphrey Jackson (Redwood City, Calif./Woodside) both are going for 11 points per-game.
