No. 20 Knights Pull Away From SOU Men

The Southern Oregon men played even with 20th-ranked Warner Pacific for almost 30 minutes before the Knights pulled away for an 83-66 victory tonight in Portland.

Warner Pacific improved to 20-7 overall and 12-5 with the victory. Southern Oregon fell to 11-15 overall and 3-14 in conference play.

Southern Oregon travels to Concordia Saturday night.

Jake Glisson led the Knights with a game-high 25 points.

Jarrad Childs led SOU with 22 points and Ryan Staker added with 16 points and eight rebounds.

The Raiders rushed out to a 41-39 halftime lead and then continued to keep the pressure on the Knights, knotting the score at 49-49 on a jumper by Childs. The Raiders then tied the game again at 51-51, 53-53 and 55-55 before the Knights took off.

The Raiders out-rebounded the Knights 40-38 for the game and made 76 percent of their free throws, compared to the Knights' 41 percent effort from the free throw line.
