The Southern Oregon softball team has been picked to finish second in the Cascade Conference Preseason Coaches Poll.
Defending champion College of Idaho is the unanimous pick to win the conference title after going 34-18 last year and 20-4 in conference play.
Southern Oregon went 22-15 last year and finished second in the conference race with an 18-6 record.
The Raiders also landed in the receiving votes category in the NAIA Preseason Poll, garnering 40 votes.
Southern Oregon opens the season Thursday at Vanguard University.
