The Southern Oregon wrestling team will wrap up the regular season Saturday as they host Simon Fraser at 1 p.m. at McNeal Pavilion.

The Raiders enter this weekend ranked sixth in the latest NAIA Top 20 Poll. Simon Fraser is ranked 10th.

Southern Oregon comes into Saturday's dual with a 14-7 record and have already wrapped up their 40th straight winning season.

The Raiders have eight wrestlers ranked in this week's National Rankings.

Sophomore Mitchell Lofstedt (Roseburg, Ore./Roseburg) has been stealing most of the headlines this year and continues to hold down the No. 1 ranking (as he has all season) at 125 pounds.

Lofstedt has rolled out to a 34-6 record this year and needs one more pin to break his dad Brent's record of 20 pins in a season.

With his 35th victory of the season, Lofstedt will tie Jimmy Grochowsky for ninth on the school's single season victory list. The school victory for wins in a season is 42. Lofstedt had 37 victories last year.

Junior Brian Jacob (Tillamook, Ore./Tillamook) is a win away from 30 wins on the season, entering this weekend at 29-11 on the season. Jacob is ranked seventh at 133 pounds.

Kyle Wirkuty (Portland, Ore./Centennial) (6th/141), Tommie Hooper (Burns, Ore./Burns) (7th/157), Chris Platt (Eagle Point, Ore./Eagle Point) (7th/184), Barry Johnson (Dayton, Ore./Dayton) (8th/141), Brandon Stitch (8th/174), John Bates (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) (8th/285), Austin Vanderford (Ninilchik, Alaska/Ninilchik) (9th/174), Ron Lee (9th/197) and Jimmy Eggemeyer (Kodiak, Alaska/Kodiak) (12th/149) are also ranked for the Raiders.

One of the highlighted matchups Saturday should be at heavyweight, as Bates will face the Clan's Arjan Bhullar. Bhullar is the defending NAIA National Champion and is currently ranked No. 1.

After Saturday's dual, the Raiders will take part in the NAIA Western Qualifier in Havre, Mont.
