Cliff "Chief" McLean played basketball for SONS Coach Hobby Hobson and earned letters in both football and basketball while at SOSC (SONS) from 1932-36. He was on the 1935 basketball team which played in the AAU National Tournament in Denver. McLean, an outstanding safety and halfback, later coached SOSC baseball in 1947-48 and he was also a professional basketball palyer in Salt Lake City.
