Southern Oregon's Kelly Clark (Laguna Niguel, Calif./Alio Viejio) scored a pair of goals as the Raiders defeated Cascade 3-0 tonight in Portland.

The Raiders are now 5-1 in Cascade Conference play and 7-7 overall. Cascade dropped to 1-11-2 overall and 0-6-1 in conference action.

"It was nice to get out and get a lead," SOU Head Coach Jon Clement said. "Kelly added a lot to our attack today and it was nice to get win. Now we have to get ready for Concordia."

The Raiders have a date with first place Concordia in Portland Saturday night.

SOU jumped out to a 1-0 with near the 30 minute mark as Stacy Hamer (Spokane, Wash./Gonzaga Prep) took a pass from Kelly Cates (Poulsbo, Wash./North Kitsap) and buried it to the near post.

The second half was all Clark. Clark scored off an Auika Muragin (Koloa, Hawaii/Kauai) assist at the 74 minute mark and then again scored off an assist from Denise Powell (Grants Pass, Ore./Hidden Valley) at the 82 minute mark.

Clark finished the game with four shots and three shots on goal for the Raiders. Powell added two shots on goal and freshman keeper Jessica Kuehlwien finished with two saves.
