The Southern Oregon women's soccer team scored the first playoff win in program history with a 1-0 victory over Northwest today at Lake Washington (Wash.) High School.

The Raiders will now travel to the College of Idaho Wednesday for the Cascade Conference semifinals.

SOU's Chelsie O'Neil scored at the 35 minute mark on a beautiful pass from Kelly Cates (Poulsbo, Wash./North Kitsap) to give SOU the only score of the match.

"They played really hard despite the fact that it's freezing and raining here," SOU Head Coach Jon Clement said following the victory. "They came out and played well and made plays."

The Raiders victory was highlighted by three key late saves by freshman keeper Jessica Kuehlwien.

"Jessica played outstanding the whole match," Clement said. "When we needed her most she stepped up and made the big saves."
