The 19th-ranked Southern Oregon women's basketball team pushed its record to 4-0 with an impressive 86-46 victory over William Jessup tonight in Rocklin, Calif., at the William Jessup Invitational.

The Raiders return home next weekend when they home the Coming Attractions Theatres Classic. William Jessup dropped to 0-4 on the season.

SOU held a 34-24 lead at the half and then went turned it on on both ends of the court in the second half.

"It was the first time all year we've put it all together," SOU Head Coach Lynn Kennedy said. "We got out and ran and got a lot of easy baskets and it all started with defense. The second half we really started to play defense."

The Raiders finished the game shooting 53 percent, while holding William Jessup to 31 percent shooting from the floor and just seven percent from the 3-point line.

Junior Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia), a night after only playing 11 minutes due to foul trouble, went for 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Raiders. Senior Rhiannon Dickison (Redding, Calif./Anderson) had 19 points on 8-for-13 shooting, Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) had 11 points and Carly Wood (Sacramento, Calif./Bella Vista) finished with 10 points.

Tournament MVP Kellyn Cooper (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis) finished with six points.

The Raiders open up next weekend's Classic against Holy Names at 8 p.m.
