The Southern Oregon women's soccer team managed one shot on goal and just two shots as they fell to Vanguard 2-0 tonight at Costa Mesa, Calif.

Vanguard improved to 1-0 on the season, while SOU fell to 0-2.

The Raiders face 13th-ranked Westmont College Saturday in Irvine, Calif.

Vanguard got on the board at the 30:05 mark on a shot by Karri Currier and then added their second goal on a shot by Paige Silva at the 83:21 mark.

Freshman Jessica Kuehlwein (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) was in goal for the Raiders and stopped six shots. Stacy Hamer (Spokane, Wash./Gonzaga Prep) had the only shot on goal for the Raiders.

Vanguard finished with 25 shots.
