The Southern Oregon women's soccer team picked up the offensive attack in the second half, but couldn't find the net and fell 1-0 at George Fox today.

The Raiders are now 0-5 in the preseason, while George Fox opens the year 1-0.

SOU was limited to just four shots in the first half and then turned it on, firing 10 shots at the net, but George Fox turned away each attempt. Sophomore Mos Costello nearly tied the game near the 72-minute mark, but her shot hit the far post and bounced away.

George Fox finished the game with a 16-14 edge in shots and 7-6 edge in shots on goal.

"We actually played really well for the last 60 minutes or so," head coach Jon Clement said. "We were really close to scoring numerous times and had the game being played at our tempo."

SOU returns to action on Sept. 21 when they host Holy Names.
