Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) went for a game-high 26 points as the Southern Oregon women knocked off Warner Pacific 66-57 tonight in Portland.
The Raiders have now won two in a row to improve to 12-4 overall and 4-3 in Cascade Conference play. Warner Pacific dropped to 8-10 overall and 4-5 in conference action. The Raiders travel to Cascade College Saturday night.
Scott went for 17 of her 26 points in the first half.
Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita) finished with 15 points and
Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia) had 12.
Kelsey Mattsen led Warner Pacific with 16 points.
The Raiders were in trouble early on as they trailed 18-9 with just over 11:00 to play in the first half before they finally took off.

Carly Wood (Sacramento, Calif./Bella Vista) 3-pointer got the run started for the Raiders and a three point play by Speer gave SOU a 21-20 lead with 6:00 to play in the half.
Scott then scored five of SOU's next seven points for a 34-26 lead at the half.
Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita)'s basket at the 11:49 mark in the second half gave SOU its largest lead at 53-36 as they cruised to the victory.
