Southern Oregon's Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia) went for 21 points to lead the Raiders to a 72-69 victory over Eastern Oregon tonight in La Grande.

The Raiders improved to 19-4 overall and 11-3 in Cascade Conference play. Eastern Oregon dropped to 14-7 overall and 9-5 in conference action.

Speer finished with 21 points and nine rebounds, snapping her streak of four straight double-doubles. Rhiannon Dickison (Redding, Calif./Anderson) added 19 points for the Raiders, while Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita) finished with 12 points and 10 rebounds. Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) added 11 points and seven assists.

Tana Stickney led Eastern with 18 points on eight of 13 shooting.

Eastern Oregon jumped out to a 36-28 lead after shooting 50 percent in the first half.

The second half was all SOU.

The Raiders shot 64 percent on 16 of 25 shooting in the second half to secure the three point victory.

Southern Oregon returns home next week for the first two of four straight. SOU hosts Cascade College Friday night at McNeal Pavilion.
