Humboldt State came away with three interceptions and held the Southern Oregon offense to 241 yards as they came away with a 34-3 victory tonight at the Redwood Bowl in Arcata, Calif.

Humboldt State improved to 4-3 overall. Southern Oregon dropped to 2-5 on the season.

The NCAA Division II Lumberjacks jumped out to a 13-0 lead after the first quarter on a touchdown run by Corey Stollmeyer and a touchdown reception by Matt Smith.

Stollmeyer would add two more touchdowns, both in the second half as the Lumberjacks put the game away.

SOU's only score came on a 35-yard field goal by Tyler Crowley (Palo Cedro, Calif./Bishop Quinn) right before the half.

Brandon Baldwin (Palo Cedro, Calif./Foothill) rushed for 83 yards on 27 carries to lead the SOU offense, but also threw an interception.

Paul Sweeney (South San Francisco, Calif./Sared Heart Cathedral) completed 14 of 31 passes for 126 yards and also threw two interceptions.

Stollmeyer lead the Lumberjacks with 129 yards rushing on 20 carries.

Defensively, Damilyn Tanner (Lakewood, Calif./Lakewood) led the Raiders with 11 tackles, an interception and a blocked kick.

The Raiders, who were missing a number of players due to illness, travel to Texas next week to take on Mary Hardin-Baylor.
