The 11th-ranked Southern Oregon women's basketball team jumped out to a 20-6 lead and never looked back as they cruised to a 76-46 rout of Bethany today during the second day of the Oregon Tech Classic.

Southern Oregon improved to 11-1 overall and will travel to Simpson Tuesday for a women's and men's doubleheader. Bethany dropped to 2-9 overall.

Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia) led the Raiders with 18 points and 13 rebounds, despite playing in just over half of the game. Speer now needs 18 points to move past Nada Janackovic (1,515) for second on SOU's career scoring list.

After the early lead, the Raiders cruised through the rest of the first half. SOU was up 50-28 at the half after shooting 53 percent from the field and 73 percent from the free throw line.

The Raiders opened the second half with a 14-2 lead, punctuated by a 3-pointer by freshman Molly Doran (Corvallis, OR/Crescent Valley) off an assist by Sierra Stayberg (Orange, Calif./Ramstein).
