Raiders' Streak Ends At Corban

The 19th-ranked Southern Oregon women's basketball team's 12 game-winning streak came to an end tonight as the Raiders fell at Corban 86-79 in Salem.

Corban improved to 11-16 overall and 7-12 in Cascade Conference play. Southern Oregon dropped to 23-5 overall and 15-4 in conference action. The Raiders travel to eighth-ranked Concordia Saturday night.

Kailey Bostwick led Corban with 22 points and seven assists. Bostwick finished with six 3-pointers.

Senior Rhiannon Dickison (Redding, Calif./Anderson) led SOU with 26 points and five 3-pointers. Dickison now ranks third in SOU history in career 3-pointers. Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia) had her 19th double-double of the season with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) had 15 points and Emily Brookins (Central Point, Ore./Crater) finished with 10 points.

Corban held SOU to 39 percent shooting in the first half as the Warriors led 41-34 at intermission. The Warriors pushed the lead to 17 at 59-42 before SOU came flying back.

The Raiders cut the lead to 67-65 with 7:46 to play after 3-pointers by Dickison, Scott and Carly Wood (Sacramento, Calif./Bella Vista).

Corban answered with a 10-3 run over the next five minutes to regain control of the game.
