Oregon Tech rallied from behind with a pair of goals within three minutes of each other to take a 2-1 non-conference victory over Southern Oregon today at University Field.

Southern Oregon is now 0-2 on the season and Oregon Tech improved to 1-0.

The Raiders travel to Idaho and Montana this week for three matches.

After a scoreless first half, SOU got on the board at the 59 minute mark with a goal from the top of the penalty box by sophomore Denise Powell (Grants Pass, Ore./Hidden Valley). The Hidden Valley High School product broke open at the top of box and received a perfect pass from freshman Stephanie Carr (Upland, Calif./Upland) to get the scoring started.

The Owls, who had 19 shots and 14 shots on goal, continued to fire away and finally broke through at the 69 minute mark as Brooke Cole connected from 22 yards out to tie the match.

Oregon Tech wasted little time finding the net again as Kaila Dillon took a pass from Cole and buried a left-foot kick into the next from 10 yards away for the game-winner.

Carr and Powell both had shots on goal in the last 10 minutes of the match, but Oregon Tech keeper Megan Ross made saves on both shots.

" After a rough 20 minutes I thought we did a great job of capturing the lead," SOU head coach Jon Clement said. "But we have to learn how finish games and win. That's part of the process we are going through right now."

Carr and Powell both finished the match with three shots on goal and sophomore goalkeeper Jessica Kuehlwein (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) had 11 saves.
