The Southern Oregon women had a first-half double-digit lead disappear as they fell at Evergreen State 70-61 in overtime tonight in Olympia, Wash.
Evergreen State improved to 6-11 overall and 2-4 on the season. Southern Oregon dropped to 13-5 overall and 2-5 in conference play. The Raiders travel to Northwest University tomorrow night.
Katie Garcin led Evergreen State with 13 points.
Southern Oregon was led by
Krystal Smith (Olympia, Wash./River Ridge)'s 10 points.
Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita),
Emily Brookins (Central Point, Ore./Crater) and
Gabe Johnson (Corvallis, OR/Corvallis) all had nine points for the Raiders.
Southern Oregon made 56 percent of its shot in the first half and jumped out to a 34-22 advantage at the half.
The second half was a different story as the Geoducks rallied back and took the lead late in the second half and the two teams were tied at 53-53 after regulation. The overtime period was as Evergreen, as the Geoducks out-scored the Raiders 17-8.
