Rileigh Mankin scored midway through the second overtime period to give Corban a 1-0 victory over Southern Oregon today at University Field.
Corban is now 9-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play the season. Southern Oregon dropped to 7-3-2 overall and 1-1 in league play.
In a match-up that featured 37 shots and 20 saves, Corban was finally able to break-through a the 104th minute.
Corban's Rachel Cole sprinted up the left sideline and then found Mankin with a beautiful crossing pass for the winning goal.
"I'm proud of our work rate, but our soccer wasn't good enough today," SOU head coach Jon Clement said. "Credit Corban, they found a way to win it in the end."
Denise Powell (Grants Pass, Ore./Hidden Valley) and Ashton Griffin both had three shots on goal for the Raiders, while
Jessica Kuehlwein (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) had eight saves.
Emily Tsugawa had four shots on goal for the Warriors.
Southern Oregon continues Cascade Conference play next Friday at Oregon Tech.
