Already with the most wins in program history, the Southern Oregon women's soccer team will look to advance to the finals for the first time in program history Saturday iwhen they take part in the Cascade Conference semifinals.
The Raiders will travel to Corban Saturday morning. The match is slated to start at 11:15 a.m.
Corban finished the regular season as the No. 2 seed with a 15-3 overall record and a 7-2 conference mark. Southern Oregon went 12-4-2 overall and 6-2-1 in conference and earned the No. 3 seed.
Saturday will mark the second matchup between the Raiders and Warriors. Corban scored a 1-0 double overtime over Southern Oregon in the regular season in Ashland.
That victory jump-started a stretch for the Warriors in which they have won seven of eight.
Southern Oregon has gone 5-1-1 since the setback to Corban.
The matchup will feature two of the most prolific goal scorers in the conference this year.
SOU sophomore
Stephanie Carr (Upland, Calif./Upland) ranks third in the conference with 10 goals. Corban sophomore Emily Tsugawa ranks second in the conference with 12 goals.
The winner of the SOU-Corban matchup will face the winner of Saturday night's Concordia-College of Idaho matchup on Nov. 13.
