The trio of Jamie Roupp (Ashland, Ore./Ashland), Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) and Alexi Smith (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) combined of 38 points as Southern Oregon cruised to a 69-53 victory over 20th-ranked Eastern Oregon.

Southern Oregon improved to 8-6 overall and 2-1 in Cascade Conference play. SOU hosts College of Idaho Saturday night at 7:30 p.m. Eastern Oregon fell to 10-2 overall and 2-1 in conference action.

Roupp had 14 points and five assists to lead the Raiders. Scott finished with 13 points and 3-pointers and Smith had 11 points and eight rebounds.

With Scott's first 3-pointer of the game she broke Megan Winchester's career record for 3-pointers with 194.

Kyle Miller led Eastern with 16 points and Shaylee Nielsen had 13 points.

SOU started out of the gate quickly, taking an 18-14 lead after a Scott 3-pointer and a Roupp jumper.

Smith pushed the lead to 27-16 with a layup before Eastern came back to trim the lead to 37-30 at the half.

Roupp had 10 of SOU's first 20 points of the game and combined with Scott to have 20 of Southern's 37 points in the half.

In the second half, SOU's defense picked it up a notch to hold Eastern to 27 percent shooting and SOU led by as much as 22 midway through the half.

Nalani Barnes came off the bench for five rebounds for the Raiders and SOU out-rebounded EOU 46-32.
