Despite a 79-58 setback at Warner Pacific tonight, the Southern Oregon women's basketball team wrapped up its fourth-straight Cascade Conference berth.
Warner Pacific improved to 17-9 overall and 12-5 in conference play. Southern Oregon dropped to 18-10 overall and 7-10 in conference action.
Thanks to College of Idaho's victory over Evergreen, the Raiders were able to wrap up the postseason berth.
Southern Oregon will travel to Concordia tomorrow night.
Jamie Roupp (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) and
Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita) led the Raiders with 12 points each.
Kristina Schumacher turned in a game-high 20 points for the Knights.
The Raiders came out of the gate hot, leading by seven in the first five minutes of the first half, but the Raiders went cold from that point on.
The Knights led 35-22 at the half after SOU shot 20 percent in the first 20 minutes.
The first round of the Cascade Conference Tournament is slated for next Tuesday.
