The Southern Oregon women's basketball season came to an end tonight in the Cascade Conference Postseason Tournament semifinals with a 75-57 setback to 20th-ranked College of Idaho in Caldwell, Idaho.

The Yotes (20-7) will move on to Monday's Cascade Conference Championship game. Southern Oregon's season comes to an end with a 20-11 record

Senior Jacki Speer (Centralia, Wash./Centralia) had yet another monster night in her finale for the Raiders. Speer finished with 23 points and 20 rebounds. The holder of six school season or career records, Speer finished her career one point short of equaling Melissa Bogh's SOU career record of 1,865 points. Speer also finished with three blocks.

Nicole Gall led the Yotes with 23 points.

A jumper by Speer at the 10:50 mark of the first half gave the Raiders 15-9 advantage, but the hosts came back to tie the game at 17-17 and then pushed that to a 32-25 halftime advantage.

The Yotes then opened the second half on a 25-4 run over a span of just over eight minutes to break open a 57-29 lead and kept the lead at over 20 for most of the second half.

After shooting 41 percent in the first half, the Raiders cooled off to 27 percent in the second half.

Senior Emily Brookins (Central Point, Ore./Crater) added 12 points for the Raiders.

The game was the finale for SOU seniors Speer, Brookins, Ashley Baker (Grand Junction, Colo./Fruita), Keri Nakamura (Honolulu, Hawaii/Mid-Pacific Institute) and Chelsea Winner (Central Point, OR/Cascade Christian).

This marked the fourth-straight season the Raiders have advanced to the postseason.
