The Southern Oregon and Holy Names women's soccer teams battled to a 0-0 tie this evening in Dublin, Calif.
The Raiders are now 0-1-1 on the season and travels to William Jessup Tuesday afternoon.
"Our defending was pretty good and we had some good chances," SOU head coach Jon Clement said. "It was a game that you'd hope you would win, but it's a step in the right direction."
Southern Oregon out-shot the hosts 16-10, led by four shots by
Denise Powell (Grants Pass, Ore./Hidden Valley) and three shots from
Sydney Paulsen (Loveland, Colo./Thompson Valley). Junior goal keeper
Jessica Kuehlwein (Oregon City, Ore./Oregon City) finished with three saves for the Raiders.
SOU's home opener is set for next Sunday when they host Linfield at 4 p.m.
