In what head coach Jon Clement called the team's best performance of the year, the Southern Oregon women's soccer team fell to No. 22 Carroll College 2-0 today in Caldwell, Idaho.
The Raiders are now 4-2-1 and will face Rocky Mountain Sunday morning. Carroll improved to 5-1-1 on the season.
Carroll used a pair of unassisted goals to beat the Raiders. Abby Coburn scored at the 38th minute and Macie Netz scored in the 48th minute.
"We made a couple mistakes, but besides that we dictated the pace of the game," Clement said. "The second half was the best performance we've had all year. We just couldn't get a goal and it was an unfortunate result against a really good team."
The Raiders out-shot the Saints 17-6 and held a 9-2 advantage in corner kicks.
Stephanie Carr (Upland, Calif./Upland) had four shots and two shots on goal for the Raiders.
Lauren Slaughter (San Ramon, Calif./California High) had three shots and two shots on goal.
