The Southern Oregon women snapped a five-game losing streak tonight with a 75-58 victory at Evergreen State.
The Raiders improved to 14-13 overall and 7-8 in Cascade Conference play. Southern Oregon hosts Oregon Tech Saturday night at Riehm Arena at 5:30 p.m.
Senior
Whitney Scott (Tumwater, Wash./Black Hills) led the Raiders with 11 points.
Carly Wood (Sacramento, Calif./Bella Vista) and
Alexi Smith (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) both had 10 points.
Vanessa Caskey led Evergreen with 22 points.
After struggling offensively for the last couple weeks, the Raiders broke out of the funk early and scored a 9-0 lead thanks to six points by senior
Lindsey Scheffler (Castle Rock, Wash./Toutle Lake).
The Raiders led 38-28 at the half and then opened the second half on a 22-10 run to take control of the game.
