Box Score ANGWIN, Calif. – Five Raiders reached double figures in the scoring column as the Southern Oregon women's basketball team pulled away to a 98-41 nonconference victory over Pacific Union Monday evening.
Southern Oregon improves to 8-1 with the win and returns to action this weekend, when the Raiders will open the Cascade Collegiate Conference season on the road against Northwest Christian and Corban.
Melissa Sweat (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) led SOU with 17 points, while
Carly Meister (Elma, Wash./Elma) added 14 points for the Raiders.
Alexi Smith (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) tallied 13 points,
Molly Doran (Corvallis, OR/Crescent Valley) tallied 12 points, eight rebounds and two assists, and
Haley Newell (Santa Monica, Calif./) finished with 10 points, six rebounds and four assists.
Alexandra Santanello led Pacific Union with 15 points and 12 rebounds, while Alejandra Gallardo added 12 points in the loss.
