Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho – Southern Oregon limited No. 20 College of Idaho to just over 30 percent shooting, but it was not enough as the second-seeded Coyotes defeated the seventh-seeded Raiders 75-60 in a Cascade Collegiate Conference Tournament women's basketball first-round contest Tuesday night.

The loss brings an end to Southern Oregon's season as the Raiders finish the year with a 14-16 record. College of Idaho improves to 20-8 and will host a CCC Tournament semifinal game Friday night.

Cassandra Tiggett (Beaverton, Ore./) posted a game-high 24 points, connecting on 11 of 18 shots for the Raiders. RaTanya Newsome (Tucson, Ariz./Tucson) added 11 points and Angelica Cahee (Oroville, Calif./) grabbed nine rebounds in the loss.

Felicity Jones led C of I with 23 points, while Tina Fakahafua posted a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds. Laura Geis added 10 rebounds for the Yotes and Katelin Shannon finished with 11 points.

A three-pointer by Molly Doran (Corvallis, OR/Crescent Valley) in the opening minute gave SOU its only lead of the game. The Yotes quickly countered to regain the lead and the score remained tight throughout the first half. A pair of Doran free throws in the final minutes of the first period made it a 23-21 game, but C of I closed the half on a 10-2 run that included three Katelin Shannon free throws as time expired to go up 33-23 at the break.

Jones made a pair of free throws early in the second half to put the Yotes up by 14, which would mark their largest lead of the night until the final minute. They would match that point spread several times in the second half as the teams exchanged baskets, preventing SOU from pulling closer than 10 points back the rest of the way.

Southern Oregon shot 39 percent (23-of-59) from the field while limiting C of I to 31.3 percent shooting (21-of-67), but the Yotes outrebounded the Raiders 52-to-29 and made 30 of 38 attempts at the charity stripe to put the game away.
