Box Score CALDWELL, Idaho – The Southern Oregon University soccer team has had plenty of success playing from behind lately, but on Saturday proved to be just as adept with a lead.

The Raiders made first-half goals by Sydney Paulsen (Loveland, Colo./Thompson Valley) and Lisa Elledge (Fair Oaks, Calif./Bella Vista) stand in a 2-1 Cascade Conference win at College of Idaho, extending their program-best unbeaten streak to seven matches.

Paulsen scored in the 27th minute when she came away with Danielle Stave (Petaluma, Calif./St Vincent de Paul)'s corner kick out of a scrum and knocked it home. Elledge was freed up in the 30th minute on a through-pass from Kendra Madaras-Kelly (Boise, Idaho/Mountain View) that set up an 18-yard shot.

The Raiders (7-2-3 overall, 3-0-1 CCC) are off to their best start in program history through four conference games. The Coyotes dropped to 3-8-0 and 1-3-0 in loop play.

They were a few minutes away from bringing home their seventh shutout of the season before Sarah Hicks found Summer Jackson for the Coyotes' only goal in the 87th minute. College of Idaho had five shots on goal and Southern Oregon six.

Paulsen's goal was her team-leading sixth of the season and first in CCC action. Elledge's was her third of the season and first since Sept. 8.

The Raiders, who also notched a 3-1 comeback win at Eastern Oregon on their trip, will return home next week for a match Thursday against first-place Concordia and Saturday against Warner Pacific.
