Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. – One goal was all that separated the Southern Oregon University women's soccer team from a bye to the Cascade Conference tournament's semifinal round.

The Raiders went down Saturday afternoon at Northwest University in their regular-season finale, 1-0, and in turn gave up the No. 2 seed to the postseason. SOU (8-4-3 overall, 4-3-1 CCC) slipped to No. 4 and will host fifth-seeded Eastern Oregon in Wednesday's first round at a time yet to be determined.

Tatyana Reveles scored the match's lone goal in the 54th minute, taking a through-ball from Tiffany Taylor for an 18-yard shot over the head of SOU keeper Kylie Moltzen (Fremont, Calif./Mission San Jose).

SOU had the advantage in shots, 16-11, and put six on goal but couldn't convert. Megan McArthur (San Jose, Calif./Presentation) recorded four, including two on goal, and Syndey Paulsen and Alyssa Bricker (Temecula, Calif./Temecula Valley) had two apiece.

The Eagles (9-7-1, 5-2-1) finished tied for second in the standings but got the No. 3 seed. Top-ranked Concordia has the No. 1 spot after clinching its 14th straight tournament championship. The top two seeds are off in the first round of the six-team tourney.

SOU's postseason appearance will be its fourth straight. The Raiders already defeated the Mountaineers (9-4-1, 5-4-0) in La Grande, 3-1.
