Box Score LA GRANDE – Third-ranked Eastern Oregon limited Southern Oregon to its lowest shooting percentage of the season as the Mountaineers rolled past the Raiders 83-55 in a Cascade Collegiate Conference Women's Basketball Tournament semifinal contest Friday night.

Eastern Oregon improves to 30-2 overall with its 25th consecutive win and advances to Monday's CCC Championship game, when the top-seeded Mountaineers will host second-seeded College of Idaho at 7 p.m. Southern Oregon, the tournament's fifth seed, sees its season come to an end with a 22-10 record.

Alexi Smith (Bakersfield, Calif./Stockdale) and Allison Gida (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) tied for the SOU team lead with 12 points apiece, with Smith grabbing 13 rebounds to post a double-double. Brooke Randall scored 17 points and Maloree Moss added 13 as 13 different Mountaineers scored points in the game.

Eastern Oregon limited SOU to 26.1 percent shooting in the first half (6-of-23) and a season-low 33.3 overall (19-of-57). The Mountaineers shot 48.4 percent (30-of-62) in the win, including 50 percent from long-range (11-of-22). Southern Oregon finished 0-for-9 from beyond the arc.

After Chayla Jones opened the game with a jumper, four straight SOU free throws tied it up and gave the Raiders an early lead. They proceed to score eight consecutive points to take an early 8-2 lead, but it was all EOU from that point. Randall hit a jumper six minutes into the game to end the SOU streak and spark a 29-5 run leading into the final minutes of the opening half.

Eastern Oregon closed out the first half with a 36-17 lead. A three-pointer by Nicole Redd in the first minute of the second half gave the Mountaineers their first 20-point lead, and they would go on to lead by at least 20 points the rest of the way. The hosts led by as many as 31 points late in the second half to earn the win.
