Box Score KIRKLAND, Wash. – Even without its starting point guard, the Southern Oregon University women's basketball team was able to piece together plenty of offense and seal a Cascade Conference weekend sweep Saturday at Northwest.

Allison Gida (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) capped a monster weekend by converting a tiebreaking basket-and-one with 1:14 left that sparked a 9-2 run to seal the win. She amassed a career-high 26 points with 13 rebounds in SOU's 101-94 defeat of the Eagles.

The Raiders (16-4 overall, 5-3 CCC), who were without Gida last weekend, lost point guard Ashley Claussen (Scotts Valley, Calif./Santa Cruz) at the end of the first half in Friday's 86-72 win at Evergreen. Gida had a career-best 15 rebounds with 17 points, seven steals and six assists in that one, and against the Eagles went 8-for-14 from the field and 9-for-13 from the foul line.

Kristen Schoenherr (Rainier, Wash./Rainier) had 20 points and six rebounds for SOU and went 12-for-15 from the line, where the Raiders were 37-for-50 compared to Northwest's 17-for-25. Also chipping in were Bree Park (Bellingham, Wash./Meridian) (18 points), Carly Mesiter (16 points, eight rebounds) and Cambie Edwards (Burglington, Wash./Burlington-Edison) (10 points).

The Eagles (11-8, 3-4), who were coming off of Friday's overtime upset of 20th-ranked Oregon Tech, got a game-high 28 points from Jordan Asher and 26 more from Domi Mendezona in the backcourt.

Northwest had a 49-42 advantage after Asher opened the second half with a 3-pointer, but SOU answered with an 11-0 run and didn't trail again. Gida and Schoenherr started the run with a couple and-ones.

SOU led by nine when Autumn Durand (Onalaska, Wash./Onalaska) knocked down a jumper with 13:33 left. It was tight the rest of the way, however, and six straight Northwest points tied it, 92-92, as Sanda Milovic made a bucket with 1:32 on the clock.

Gida got to the hoop, made a layup and was fouled next. When Northwest responded with a Mendenoza layup, Gida hit two free throws. Durand and Park also made two apiece to seal the win.

The double-double was Gida's third in her last four games. Schoenherr has now been in double figures in SOU's last 17 contests.

The Raiders will return home next Saturday for a 5:30 p.m. tilt with Oregon Tech at Bob Riehm Arena.
