Cascade Conference All-Academic Team

LA GRANDE – Thirty-three of Southern Oregon University's fall sports student-athletes have earned Academic All-Cascade Collegiate Conference recognition, the conference office announced Wednesday.

Sixteen women's soccer players, seven men's cross country runners, five women's cross country runners and five volleyball players from SOU were among the 256 individuals in the CCC who were honored for the fall. (The Raider football team competes in the Frontier Conference.)

To become eligible for the award, one must have a minimum cumulative grade-point average of 3.2 and sophomore academic standing.

SOU's Academic All-CCC soccer players are Lauren Aldana (Elk Grove, Calif./Franklin), Amanda Bristow (Vancouver, Wash./Skyview), Serena DeChristofaro (Martinez, Calif./Alhambra), Elise De Jesse (Yorba Linda, Calif./Esperanza), Kylie Durant (Klamath Falls, Ore./Mazama), Haylee Eckart (Eugene, Ore./Willamette), Lisa Elledge (Fair Oaks, Calif./Bella Vista), Caylin Jackson (Claremont, Calif./Claremont), Paige Kilpatrick (Murrieta, Calif./Murrieta Valley), Presley Lambert (Santa Clarita, Calif./Hart), Kendra Madaras-Kelly (Boise, Idaho/Mountain View), Megan McArthur (San Jose, Calif./Presentation), Jaclyn McQuiston (San Ramon, Calif./California), Kylie Moltzen (Fremont, Calif./Mission San Jose), Megan Smith (Elk Grove, Calif./Sheldon) and Allyson Ward (Santa Rosa, Calif./Santa Rosa).

From the men's cross country team, Caleb Diaz (Medford, Ore./North Medford), Eric Ghelfi (Redding, Calif./Redding Adventist Academy), Jared Hixon (Palmdale, Calif./Palmdale), Will Parke-Hoffman (Corvallis, Ore./Corvallis), Dylan Paulk (Portland, Ore./Grant ), Hayden Teachout (Duvall, Wash./Cedarcrest) and Matthew Williams (La Crescenta, Calif./Crescenta Valley) made the cut.

The women's cross country runners are Aspen Abbott (Gardnerville, Nev./Douglas), Emily Lamb (Felton, Calif./San Lorenzo Valley), Rebecca Lupescu (Portland, Ore./Westview), Angie Meza (Saugus, Calif./Saugus) and Jessie Rozario (Rocklin, Calif./Del Oro).

The Raider volleyball players honored were Tyana Andrews (Rochester, Wash./Centralia), Sam Boehnke (Ashland, Ore./Ashland), Brookelynn Cole (Portland, Ore./Central Catholic), Emma Gasman (Clovis, Calif./Buchanan) and Lauren McGowne (Coos Bay, Ore./Marshfield).
