Box Score EUGENE – The Southern Oregon University women's basketball team completed a season sweep of the Northwest Christian Beacons for the second straight year with an 84-68 romp Saturday night at the Morse Event Center.

Allison Gida (Ashland, Ore./Ashland) kept up her offensive streak with a team-high 15 points and seven rebounds. Carly Meister (Elma, Wash./Elma) tallied 13 points and nine boards, while Ashley Claussen (Scotts Valley, Calif./Santa Cruz) had 13 points, four rebounds and three assists for the Raiders (19-6 overall, 8-5 Cascade Conference).

The Raiders have won four straight conference road games for the first time in five years. They're ½ game behind third-place Northwest and one game behind second-place Oregon Tech with five to go, including clashes against both in the next two weeks.

The Raiders broke a 2-all with Meister's layup and didn't look back. They finished the first half shooting 55 percent from the field for a 46-33 lead.

Meister finished shooting 6-for-7 from the field. Kristen Schoenherr (Rainier, Wash./Rainier) went 5-for-7 to contribute 12 points, and Bree Park (Bellingham, Wash./Meridian) knocked down three from beyond the arc to go with three assists.

The Raiders stretched the lead by starting the second half with a 12-2 run. A Gida layup gave them their biggest advantage, 75-49, with 7:48 remaining.

Tami Brown led the Beacons (6-16, 2-11) with 22 points on 9-for-11 shooting. Hannah Frederick added 12 points, and Andrea Gloss and Chandler Gabrio scored eight each.

SOU won the battle down low, totaling 56 rebounds to Northwest Christian's 32. The Raiders had a 23-7 edge in offensive rebounds, which translated to 13 more field-goal attempts.

The Raiders return home next weekend to host Northwest University on Friday and Evergreen State on Saturday. Both games scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
