ASHLAND – With two games left in the regular season, the Southern Oregon University women's soccer team could still finish anywhere from first to seventh in the Cascade Conference standings.

Most likely, considering they're not completely in control of any scenario, the Raiders (7-7-2 overall, 6-3 CCC) will fit somewhere in between. But they'll get to make their case at Raider Stadium this weekend, including a shot at the top Friday against Carroll (10-4-1, 7-1-1) followed by Saturday's matchup with Great Falls (5-3-4, 2-3-3). Both start at 7:30 p.m. and will be the first-ever conference meetings between the teams.

The Raiders played just once last week, prevailing 1-0 at Oregon Tech thanks to Allyson Ward's header off a Serena Robertson assist in the 88th minute. It gave them five straight road wins for the first time in 12 years, their sixth win in seven games overall, and a spot in the eight-team Cascade Conference tournament for the sixth year in a row.

The CCC playoffs will be hosted by Northwest Christian in Eugene, starting on Nov. 11. That means, no matter where the Raiders finish, they'll have an 18-day layoff before their first postseason game.

Quick Strikes:
– Fifteen Raiders have contributed to a total of 32 goals this season. Prior to this season, the most individuals to score in a season was 14 in 2004, when they totaled 42 goals. Last year, nine Raiders were in on 22 goals in 17 games.
– The Raiders have allowed three goals in their last seven games. Junior keeper Kylie Moltzen, the reigning CCC defensive player of the week, has made 28 saves during that stretch.
– In CCC play, SOU ranks third in shots per game (13.3), third in goals (1.89) and fourth in goals allowed (0.78). The Raiders have gotten off 120 shots to their opponents' 76.
– Despite being a defensive-midfielder, Ward leads SOU with six goals – including another game-winning header two weeks ago at Northwest. She was positioned on both plays by set corner pieces, and has benefited from SOU's 69-37 advantage in corner kicks this season.
– Although they're only one game back of first place in the win column, four teams are ahead of the Raiders in CCC play in terms of win percentage: College of Idaho (7-1), Carroll (7-1-1), Eastern Oregon (6-2) and Rocky Mountain (6-2-1). All but Carroll defeated the Raiders, giving them the head-to-head tiebreakers if necessary for playoff seeding.

About Carroll: The Saints, first-year associate members of the CCC, have allowed two goals in their last five games and have gone 4-0-1 during that span. They've played six straight at home but are 2-0 on the road in CCC play. Michaela Kueffler owns a team-high six goals with one assist, while Lexi Pyette has five goals and four assists. They're getting off 14.9 shots per conference game and allowing less than half a goal. The Raiders are 0-3-1 all-time against Carroll, battling to a scoreless draw most recently in 2013.

About Great Falls: The Argos, also first-year associate members of the CCC, are 2-0-2 in their last four games. They earned a point at Carroll with a scoreless draw on Oct. 11 and have scored 10 goals while allowing 10 in conference play. Alejandra Guzman has a team-high six goals with two assists, and their three keepers have combined for an .826 save percentage. SOU won 6-0 in the first and only meeting between the teams in 2005.
