ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon University women's soccer team's seven-game road swing, which matches the longest in program history, continues this weekend at Corban and Northwest Christian.

The Raiders (1-6-2 overall, 0-2 CCC) would have been hard-pressed to hand-pick more challenging stops for the first five parts of the trip. Those opponents – Stanislaus State (Calif.), California Merced, College of Idaho, Rocky Mountain (Mont.) and Concordia (Ore.) – have a combined record of 25-7-4, and Stanislaus State and Concordia are members of NCAA Div. II. Each one of them defeated and three of them shut out the Raiders, who are continuing to fight the injury bug, too.

So, SOU will turn to the Corban (3-5, 1-1) at 2 p.m. Friday and NCU (0-6-1, 0-2) in hopes of ending the skid. After that it's back to Raider Stadium for one of two home weekends of CCC play, Oct. 2 against Warner Pacific and Oct. 3 against Eastern Oregon.

Quick Hits:

Lisa Elledge and Macaylea Mitchell have recorded SOU's only two goals during the current trip. Megan Kapp and Allyson Ward still lead the team with three apiece, but 12 different players have gotten in on the team's total of 17.
Makena Totushek and Avery Dutton have assisted two goals apiece.
Goalkeeper Kylie Durant already has .727 save percentage and already 40 saves, more than she recorded all of last season.
The only other time SOU has ever been on a seven-game road swing was during the 2004 season. The Raiders won three of those games.

About Corban: The Warriors were picked seconds in the CCC preseason poll after finishing third last year and knocking SOU out in the first round of the conference tournament in penalty kicks. Ashley Beykovsky leads the team in goals with three. SOU trails the all-time series 5-19-2 but has gone 2-2-1 since 2011.

About Northwest Christian: The Beacons were 11th in the CCC preseason poll and are still looking for their first win of the season and have scored three goals in seven games. SOU is 8-0-1 in the all-time series and scored a 2-1 win last year in Eugene.
