ASHLAND – The Southern Oregon University women's soccer team is in win-or-go-home mode as it travels to Springfield this weekend for the Cascade Conference Championships presented by U.S. Bank at Willamalane Sports Complex.

During a 10-7 regular season, the Raiders captured the No. 5 seed in the eight-team tournament by going 7-4 in CCC play. They've proven they can play with top competition – leading No. 2 seed Rocky Mountain by two goals before falling in overtime, splitting a pair of games with No. 3 seed Oregon Tech and defeating No. 4 seed Corban, their first-round opponent – but will have to make some school history to keep the season alive.

Corban (10-6-1 overall, 7-3-1 CCC) and SOU are set to meet again at 8 p.m. Friday in the quarterfinal round. The Raiders took a 2-0 regular-season decision from the Warriors on Sept. 30 in Salem and have advanced to the tournament semifinals six of the last seven seasons but never appeared in the championship game.

Playoff Picture: The tournament, which is being hosted by Northwest Christian for the third year in a row, is not bracketed. Instead, the highest-remaining seed will be matched up with the lowest remaining seed in Saturday's semifinal round, which will be played at 7 p.m. Following a day off, the title game is set for 3 p.m. Monday.

Top-seeded Eastern Oregon went 9-1-1 in the CCC regular season – including a 4-0 victory at SOU – and has locked down the league's first automatic bid to the 30-team NAIA Championships, the opening round of which will be held on campus sites Nov. 18. The second automatic bid will be awarded to the tournament champion – or, if EOU wins it, the tourney's runner-up.

SOU Postseason History: The Raiders are in the tournament for the eighth straight year and the 13th time overall, bringing with them a 4-11-1 all-time postseason record. (The field didn't expand to eight teams until 2015.) They were the No. 2 seed last year after sharing the regular-season title with Carroll and defeated Northwest Christian in the quarterfinals, 1-0, before falling to Northwest in the semis, 1-0. The last time they faced Corban in the playoffs was a meeting in the 2014 quarterfinals, when the Warriors advanced in penalty kicks.

Briefly:
– The Raiders will bring a winning streak to the postseason for the first time since 2004. They clinched their tourney spot in last Friday's 2-1, double-overtime win against Providence as Daisy Cervantes scored the golden goal in the 109th minute, and they secured the No. 5 seed in Saturday's 2-0 win against Carroll that marked their sixth shutout of the year.
– Kelsey Randall was voted the CCC's offensive player of the week after tallying Friday and scoring one goal and assisting another Saturday. The senior's five goals in conference play ranked fourth in the CCC. On SOU's career list, she now ranks ninth with 13 goals and has accumulated 31 total points.
– After going 13-6-1 last year, the Raiders have hit double figures in the win column in back-to-back seasons for the second time in team history, the other being 2010-11.
– With five shutouts during circuit play, Hannah Ceciliani ranked third among CCC goalkeepers.

About Corban:
– The Raider are 8-19-2 all-time against the Warriors but 4-1-1 since the start of 2013, and have shut them out in each of the last four matchups. The Warriors have taken all four postseason matchups.
– Corban's 18 goals were the second-most of any team in CCC play, and the Warriors ranked sixth with 12 goals allowed.
– They feature seven players who have scored multiple goals, headed by Annouscka Kordom (8 goals, 2 assists) and Lexi McQueary (4 goals, 5 assists).
– Corban has never won the tournament and was eliminated in last year's quarterfinal round by Rocky Mountain in penalty kicks.
