ARCATA, Calif. – In exhibition action Saturday night at Lumberjack Arena, Humboldt State put five players in double figures and shot 51 percent on the way to a 99-72 win against Southern Oregon.

Ariel Augustine, a junior forward, scored 16 points and pulled down five rebounds in her SOU debut. Toria Bradford went 6-of-7 from the field to score 16 of her own, but the Raiders were held to a 39-percent clip from the field and were outscored by 13 points in the first quarter and nine in the third.

The Lumberjacks, an NCAA Division II team, rode a 24-of-39 performance from their starters, led by Kindall Murie's 18 points, and got 14 points and seven rebounds from Tyla Turner off the bench. They also made half of their 26 attempts from 3-point range.

SOU plays its first counter next Friday against UC Merced, at 5:30 p.m. inside Mountain Avenue Gym. A season preview will be published early next week.
