Raiders turned back by Oregon Tech

KLAMATH FALLS – A vintage night at Danny Miles Court churned out No. 16 Oregon Tech's 88-73 win over No. 9 Southern Oregon on Tuesday in a Cascade Conference matchup.

The Raiders turned the ball over 21 times, their highest total in over three years, 10 of which were accounted for by offensive-foul calls that perpetually stifled momentum-building efforts.

Harrison Steiger's team-high 20 points for OIT (12-5 overall, 5-2 CCC) came on 9-of-19 shooting, and Mitchell Fink recorded 17 points and nine assists to help the Owls shoot 52 percent from the field. After going up 52-39 by halftime, their lead never shrunk below 10 points in the second half.

Tristen Holmes had 15 points and five rebounds, Jordan Hunt scored 13 and Ben DeSaulnier had 12 for the Raiders (10-6, 5-2). Kenny Meyer tallied 10 points, five rebounds and four steals.

SOU had won a non-conference game between the teams, 109-106, on Nov. 14. The rematch is set for Jan. 31 in Ashland.

The Raiders are off for 10 days until a Jan. 12 game at Northwest Christian.
