ASHLAND – C.J. McKinnis won by fall and was one of four Raiders to score bonus points as Southern Oregon beat up Southwestern Oregon Community College in a 32-13 exhibition Friday night at Riehm Arena.

The Raiders, who will open their season in earnest at 7 p.m. next Thursday against Menlo (Calif.), won six of eight contested weights. In his debut at heavyweight, senior Max Hane won by 16-0 technical fall while All-Americans Chandler Michael (149) and Tanner Fischer (197) turned in major decisions.

McKinnis' pin, at 184 pounds, was called with 1:29 left in the third period.

Devin Poppen (133) and JJ Talavera (149) added wins by decision. Both teams forfeited one weight.

In the middle of the dual, the Raiders celebrated their undefeated 1987-88 team, which will be inducted to the SOU Sports Hall of Fame on Saturday morning.

The Raiders will hold their Red & Black Intrasquad at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
