SPRINGFIELD – Already one of the top clutch performers in recent Southern Oregon history, Misty Martinez turned up the degree of difficulty and likely saved the Raiders' season with the goal of her career late Tuesday night.

In the quarterfinal round of the Cascade Conference Championships presented by U.S. Bank, Martinez made the fifth-seeded Raiders 1-0 overtime winners against fourth-seeded Northwest (Wash.) by finding the net in the 94th minute.

After Sarah Mauk hit her roughly 20 yards up the right sideline and wide, and the senior went one-on-one with her defender didn't hesitate to take a long, right-footed strike that dived just under the crossbar and over the outstretched arms of Eagles keeper Kat Sanchez.

For the first time since 2016, the Raiders (11-5-2 overall) have a spot in the CCC Tournament semifinals. They'll face third-seeded Rocky Mountain (Mont.) at 7 p.m. Wednesday with a chance on the line to appear in the championship game for the first time.

"They're on a mission," SOU coach Jenni Rosenberg said. "They have a goal in mind and this was step one. We had to work incredibly hard for this one and there wasn't a moment when they let up."

Martinez's goal was her sixth of the season and fifth in SOU's past four games. It was also her seventh game-winner in the last two years.

Mauk got her second assist, avenging a chance three minutes earlier when she and Baylee Touey went back and forth to take the ball the length of the field before Mauk's breakaway attempt was tipped away by Sanchez.

SOU had a slight edge in shots (11-10) and shots on goals (5-3), banking its sixth consecutive shutout victory. Kailey Lemon made two saves and defender Brionna Wood cleared a ball at the goal line two minutes into the second half.

The Raiders haven't been scored on in their last 577 minutes action.

"The defenders had to do a really good job, especially facing that team for the second game in a row," Rosenberg said. "Everyone collectively worked their tails off."

SOU was winless in its three previous overtime games.

The loss was the fourth straight for the Eagles (13-6) – including the third in overtime – after a 13-game winning streak that had them in first place. They'd appeared in each of the last three CCC Tournament championship games and three straight national tournaments.

The CCC's second automatic bid to the NAIA Championships Opening Round will be decided in the final thanks to Corban's 1-0 upset of top-seeded Oregon Tech on Tuesday. The Warriors will play second-seeded Eastern Oregon in Wednesday's other semifinal.

Rocky Mountain advanced with a 108th-minute golden goal against College of Idaho. The Bears won their regular-season matchup against the Raiders 1-0 on Oct. 6 in Billings, scoring with less than a minute to play in regulation.
