OLYMPIA, Wash. – The Southern Oregon women's basketball team came alive just in time to bank its first Cascade Conference victory against Evergreen (Wash.) on Saturday night.
Trailing by 10 with five minutes to play, the Raiders ended the game with a 23-7 push to steal a 79-73 win at the Costantino Recreation Center. They turned six Geoducks turnovers into 13 points during the game-deciding push and got back-to-back 3-pointers from

Kenadee Honaker steals to take a 74-68 lead with a minute left.
Harding scored 19 points, shooting 4-of-9 from 3-point range, and had six assists.
Syd'Nee Fryer turned in a double-double for the second night in a row with 22 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and four assists, and Honaker poured in a season-high 11 points with four steals and four boards.
With a split of their road trip, the Raiders went to 5-4 overall and 1-1 in the CCC. Evergreen dipped to 0-4 and 0-2.
The Geoducks were in control midway through the fourth, up 66-56 with the ball after an Angela Sikora 3-pointer and an Anna Cook steal. SOU guard
Kalei Iwami then came up with the steal that started the rally, dishing off to Fryer for a 3 from the corner.
Daranda Hinkey tied the game for the first time since the second quarter by capping a 10-0 run on a triple with three minutes to go. After the Raiders and Geoducks traded free throws and Honaker forced a turnover, Harding hit the go-ahead 3 from the corner with 1:30 to play.
Honaker's final steal turned into a Harding make from the same spot on an assist from Fryer.
Hinkey contributed nine points, three assists and two steals, and
Bryanna Raff went 3-of-4 with seven points and four rebounds off the bench.
Evergreen reserve Trinity Betoney got loose for 26 points on 10-of-19 shooting, and Jerri Maluyo recorded 14 points, eight assists and three steals.
The Raiders have won 14 straight head-to-head matchups with the Geoducks. They'll be off until Dec. 20-21, when Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho will visit Lithia Motors Pavilion.
