Syd'Nee Fryer was voted the Cascade Conference's Red Lion Women's Basketball Player of the Week following the most productive road trip of her Raider career.
A night after going for 22 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks in Friday's loss at Northwest (Wash.), Fryer registered 22 points, 12 rebounds, four steals and four assists in a win at Evergreen (Wash.), helping SOU to a split of its CCC-opening weekend.
The double-doubles were the fourth and fifth of her career, and the points totals were her highest of the season. She shot 15-of-29 from the field, 3-of-8 from 3 and 11-of-14 at the free-throw line.
Fryer, who received All-CCC honorable mention last season, is averaging 11.9 points, a team-high 7.6 rebounds and 2.4 steals.
The Raiders (5-4, 1-1 CCC) are off until home games Dec. 20-21 against Eastern Oregon and College of Idaho.
