SALEM – Corban hit two buzzer-beating 3-pointers to force two overtimes, then finished off a devastating 94-92 win over Southern Oregon in the second on Friday night at the C.E. Jeffers Center.
Trailing 68-65 with six seconds left in regulation, Tyler Wadleigh took the Warriors the length of the floor and knocked in a one-legged runner just beyond the arc to force the first extra session. There, the Raiders held an 82-79 lead when AJ Hodges stepped back for a contested 26-footer that went through the net with seven-tenths of a second to spare.
Hodges scored a game-high 28 points. After
Tez Allen's transition 3 off a
Jordan Hunt steal tied the teams for the 14th time with 38 seconds to play, Hodges struck one last time by knocking down a step-back 16-footer with a hand in his face and 11 seconds to play.
On the other end,
Tristen Holmes' runner in the lane hung on the rim and fell off as time expired.
The Warriors improved to 19-7 overall and 10-6 in the Cascade Conference with their sixth consecutive win. The Raiders went to 19-7 and 7-8.
Holmes helped them navigate the overtimes with 11 of his 20 points, and also pulled down eight rebounds.
Teron Bradford went for 22 points, six assists and six rebounds, scoring 18 after halftime, and
Jordan Hunt went for 15 points, 13 rebounds and three blocks.
Making his first start for the Raiders,
Tule O'Rourke scored 14 and went 3-of-5 from 3-point range.
It wasn't enough to hold off the Warriors, who got 46 points from their bench and shot 49 percent from the field (34-of-70). Reserve forward Beau Tilleman contributed 17, shooting 8-of-10.
The Raiders will finish their road trip at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Northwest Christian.
