EUGENE – Fifth-ranked Southern Oregon was back in top form against Northwest Christian to secure a weekend road split on Saturday night at the Morse Event Center.

The Raiders' sixth sweep in seven outings was a 25-17, 25-18, 25-16 decision that saw them hit .280, block 10 NCU attacks and shrink the Beacons' average to .041. It made them 14-2 overall and 5-1 in the Cascade Conference with a key week ahead that will pit them against 20th-ranked College of Idaho on Friday and No. 8 Eastern Oregon on Saturday at Lithia Motors Pavilion.

A night after putting up 13 kills in a loss at Corban, senior right-side hitter Taylor Ristvedt established a new career-high for kills in a three-set match with 16 more. She did it with her most efficient performance of the season, committing one error on 25 attacks for a .600 average.

Emma Ryan, SOU's senior libero, also set a new career-high for digs in a three-set match with 21, and Kadyn Jones contributed 11.

Sophomore middle Elliott Cook went for eight kills on 15 swings and for the fourth time this year posted seven blocks, four of them solo. Ristvedt assisted four and Makayla Hoyt got in on three.

Maddie Pernich had nine kills. Setters Hannah Bogatin (25 assists) and Tehani Faitau (17 assists) ran the show.

Nila Lukens pitched in all four of her kills in the second set, when the Raiders took over the match for good by scoring eight straight points after trailing 11-10.

The Beacons dropped to 9-6 and 1-5 in the CCC. They got nine kills out of Claire Salness, but the rest of their hitters combined for 15 kills and 17 attacking errors.
