SAN DIMAS, Calif. –
Noah Addie tied Southern Oregon's career goals record and
Sam Walker pulled off a hat trick as the Raiders eased into the season with a 9-0 win over Life Pacific (Calif.) on Tuesday afternoon at San Dimas High.
Addie and Walker deposited two goals apiece in the first half and the Raiders never stopped rolling. They fired 36 shots to LPU's one and put 25 on target.
Lucas Morais,
Omar Ramirez and Alexander Strom scored the first goals of their SOU careers.
Evan Norconk had a goal and an assist. Senior defender
Zak Woolley distributed two assists in the opening four minutes – marking his first-ever multi-assist performance – and
Izaiha Bruce and
Tybalt Thornberry were also credited with helpers.
Addie, a senior from Portland, elevated his goals total to 21 over 66 career games, matching the work done by Carlos Magana from 2016-18.
Walker, a junior from Scotland, registered the ninth three-goal game in team history. The scores gave him 12 in his career.
LPU was playing its first game in 17 months.
The Raiders will visit a second team from the Golden State Athletic Conference, Hope International (Calif.), at 7 p.m. Thursday.
