ASHLAND – Southern Oregon's
Hannah Stadstad was upgraded Tuesday to NAIA Volleyball Attacker of the Week, the Raiders' first since 2019.
The honor came a day after she
Vitoria Mattos were named Cascade Conference Rize Laboratory Players of the Week for leading the No. 16-ranked Raiders to three consecutive wins.
Stadstad, a junior from Albany, posted 16 kills against Oregon Tech, 16 more against Warner Pacific and 15 against Multnomah, averaging 4.7 per set on a .563 average. Her season attacking average of .363 is No. 11 on the NAIA leaderboard and the best in the CCC by a margin of 26 points, and her kills-per-set average of 2.8 is the eighth best among CCC players.
Mattos, a junior from Brazil, was the setter of the week after averaging 7.1 assists per frame and going for a season high of 30 against OIT. She helped the Raiders to team attacking averages of .253, .426 and .410, and she raised her season average to 5.7 assists per set – the third-best in the conference.
The Raiders (19-5 overall, 12-4 CCC) are in third place with six regular-season matches left to play. They visit Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) on Friday and Walla Walla (Wash.) on Saturday.
