CORVALLIS – The Southern Oregon men's basketball team was within five points at halftime before Oregon State pulled away for an 84-61 exhibition win Sunday evening at Gill Coliseum.

Junior forward Khalil Chatman had team-highs of 11 points and six rebounds for the Raiders, who were on the floor for the first time this season. They hung with the Beavers thanks in large part to their 12-of-30 shooting from the 3-point line.

Teron Bradford was among four Raiders who hit two 3s apiece, finishing with eight points and three assists. Bryce Dyer scored nine by going 3-of-4 from the field with a pair of triples.

Tyler Bilodeau led the Beavers with 15 points. They clung to a 37-32 lead after one half before shooting 69 percent as a team in the second.

SOU plays its first counters Friday and Saturday in Rocklin, Calif., facing Menlo (Calif.) and Jessup (Calif.).
