EUGENE – Southern Oregon's third-place standing in the Cascade Conference was secured ahead of Saturday's game, but the Raiders didn't finish like it in a 73-69 overtime win against Bushnell at the Morse Center.

After rallying back from 12 points down in the third quarter and from five down with a minute left in the fourth, they never trailed during the extra session and celebrated the completion of a 22-6 regular season. They went 18-4 in conference play and, as the No. 3 seed, will host No. 6 seed College of Idaho at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday in the quarterfinal round of the CCC Championships presented by U.S. Bank.

Junior forward Kami Walk put SOU on the comeback trail by scoring 15 of her 16 points in the second half and pulling down a career-high 17 rebounds, the best single-game total for a Raider since 2010. The Raiders were down 44-32 midway through the third quarter when she and Brianna Phiakhamngon, who added 16 points, spurred a 15-2 run.

They were down again, 62-57, before Phiakhamngon hit a pair of free throws with 52 seconds remaining. Makala Scurlock stole Bushnell's ensuing inbounds pass and fed Emma Schmerbach for a layup, and another steal by Danasia Allison moments later put the Raiders on a fast-break and ultimately got Walk to the line for the go-ahead free throws.

With seven seconds to go in regulation, Bushnell's Bella Pedrojetti split a pair at the line to send the game to OT. There, Schmerbach dropped in the first two buckets to put SOU in control. Kalei Iwami made three straight free throws in the final 15 seconds to ice the game.

Allison finished with 12 points, six rebounds and four assists. Schmerbach had 10 points and three steals, and Scurlock added three more steals.

The Raiders forced 25 turnovers to offset the Beacons' 43-to-37 advantage in field-goal percentage.

Bushnell went to 17-10 overall and will have the No. 5 seed after going 14-8 in conference play.

Eastern Oregon and Lewis-Clark State (Idaho) finished as co-champions. A coin flip gave EOU the No. 1 seed in the tournament and LCSC the No. 2 seed and the conference's first automatic bid to the NAIA National Tournament.

The highest remaining seeds will host the semifinals on Feb. 25 and the championship on Feb. 28. All tournament games will start at 5:30 p.m. local time.
