PORTLAND – A night after being pushed by Multnomah, the No. 17-ranked Southern Oregon volleyball team had no such issues with Warner Pacific in a 25-16, 25-15, 25-12 sweep that took 45 minutes Saturday evening at C.C. Perry Gymnasium.
The Raiders (13-2 overall, 6-1 Cascade Conference) attacked at a .342 clip to cap a 3-0 week on the road, led by
Marin Mackey's 12 kills on 22 attempts.
Sadie Byrd had four kills on nine swings and added three blocks.
Hannah Stadstad and
Savannah Schwindt were duly efficient, combining for nine kills on 15 tries. Freshman setter
Annie Hite had a match-high 16 assists, while
Vitoria Mattos added 12 assists and four service aces.
Izzy Moore's four kills led the Knights (1-13, 1-6), who have dropped 20 consecutive matchups against SOU.
The Raiders play two key matches at home next week, meeting Bushnell at 7 p.m. Friday and No. 4 Corban at 5 p.m. Saturday.
